Why you may feel outgoing in one setting and quiet in another

When a personality question asks about social behaviour, think about the settings behind your answer. A familiar dinner, a presentation and an unfamiliar group are different situations, even if all involve other people.
Describe the situation before choosing a label
Make a small comparison of three recent events. For each one, record how well you knew the people, whether you chose to attend, what you did, and whether you wanted more interaction afterwards. Avoid reducing every observation to “introvert” or “extrovert” immediately.
For example, you might speak often when explaining a subject you know, listen closely in a new group and enjoy long conversations with a friend. Those observations can coexist. A short quiz compresses them into a few answers and therefore leaves some context behind.
Answer about the pattern the instructions ask for
PickAQuiz's original preference quiz asks about typical habits over the last three months. One unusually successful presentation need not determine every response. Equally, one awkward event need not cancel your usual interest in meeting people.
If the answer really depends on context, a middle response can be more honest than selecting an extreme to fit a label. When you read the result, ask which settings it describes well and which it misses. An X in the social preference position means the submitted answers did not clearly favour an end under our display rule.
Use the result for a practical request
You do not need a fixed identity label to make a useful adjustment. You could ask for an agenda before a group discussion, arrange a smaller conversation, or leave a break between social commitments. Choose an adjustment because it fits the situation you observed, not because a letter code told you that you must behave a certain way.
The quiz does not assess social skill, diagnose anxiety or tell you which relationships to pursue. It offers a vocabulary for reflecting on the habits you chose to report.
